Irregular charges

I was charged an over limit fee of R260.00, my credit card was never over limit until FNB charged me interest of R37.00 on my credit card on the 3rd of September which resulted in FNB charging me over limit fee of R260.00, which I do not understand hence my account was never over limit up until FNB charged me the fees. This is a reap off that does not make sense at all. Should it have happened that I went and spent more than what FNB lended me, possibly that would have made sense but now because of their bank charges FNB says my account is over limit. How do you charge an over limit fee in an account that was never over limit in the first place? Spoke to a Call Centre agent who mentioned that the over limit fee is fixed, regardless of what ever amount the account was over by. Its not the first time I have used all funds in my credit card but never before was I charged an over limit fee, which in the first place was caused by the interest FNB charged.
If R37.00 of interest costs R260.00, then loyalty does not pay, might as well move to another bank with better service.
