Failure to refund me

I bought a 2011 Mahindra Xylo CRD on the 20-08-2013 after responding to an advert from the internet. The people from the dealer responded and told me it was a panel van of which i declined because i wanted a family car and he told me they have what i was looking for. He even sent me pictures of the car although the last row seat was missing that would have made it a 7 seater. I phoned him and asked about the missing seat in which he told me he was driving and would call me later of which he never did. The deal went ahead with the hope that i would be getting a 7 seater. I insured the car as a 7 seater with the named insurer to secure the release of the car. The insurer had also contacted the dealer to get more info on the car as mine was limited. The car was delivered on the 26-08-2103 only to find out the car was a panel van illegally converted to carry 5 passengers not 7 and to insult my intelligence the licence disk of the car confirmed it was a 2 seater. I rejected the car because they misled me. Now the Insurer refuses to refund me unless i send them a letter from the dealer confirming that I rejected the car. They must call the dealer to confirm my story as they did before.
