Delay in processing Claims

Policy No. 777369491. Damage to back door and adjoining panel of Mercedez Benz.. Reported claim to Budget Insurance on 19/08/2013. Was told by claim consultant (Marionette) to take vehicle to assessor the next day and within three days further instructions will be given. Took vehicle to Telesure assessor on 20/08/2013. No response so I contacted Budget on 23/08/2013. lines were constantly engaged. Eventually contacted assessor (Alan Mulqueeny) on his cell. very helpful and friendly person. He contacted the consultant and advised that she will inform me of outcome by the end of the day. At about 17.00 on 23/08/2013 was SMSed by Marionette and told the assessed amount of claim was too high and this matter will be escalated to their "seniors". Dont know for what? To date have not received any feedback from Budget. Are they spending all this time looking at ways and means to repudiate this claim just because the cost to repair is too high. Lucky the car is still drivable. What if the car was not mobile? Does it take over one week to approve a claim? Claims are paper less now but approval process over one week? I just got a feeling that Budget is looking for ways and means to repudiate
