Today I got the verdict that a claim of mine is being repudiated! Reason, my policy does not cover vermin.

At the beginning of this year I purchased myself a new Onkyo 818 Amplifier. I take great pride in my equipment and as always I put all my hifi equipment into an enclosed networking cabinet. I started to experience issues with some of the HDMI inputs not initialising and since it was under warranty, sent it back to the store I bought it from for a warranty replacement/repair. It was brought to my attention that the reason why some of the ports were failing was because they found traces of vermin urine on the controller board! We were not aware that we had any vermin in our home but have taken all necessary action by placing vermin poison all over the house!

I sent an email to you guys appealing to you to please consider not repudiating the claim based on our findings or at least pay a portion of the claim (60% or so)! My broker says that she has never had this kind of thing happen to her.

If I had about the reason for the damage, you would have paid out. I got for being honest IMO
