House and home do not honor warranties

I recently had a warranty claim refuted by house and home, the claim was regarding a leather single seater that i was promised a replacement some 10 mnths back .the item deteriorated further and house and home advised that they would not replace item, due to neglience on my part as patron .i was promised a replacement, and the reason for them refuting such a claim is that they do not have stock of item (is the real reason).i have made numerous phone calls to head office, the highest individual that i was able to reach was a rakesh maharaj who advised that he was regional manager.the reason for claim being refuted according to Rakesh was that, he claims that lounge suite was cleaned using some kind of detergent and hence he cannot replace item.i advised that if a detergent was used, then how is it that the rest of lounge suite is in mint condition .he was unable to answer.i have come across another patron wereby house and home acted exactly as so, and was unable to get house and home to honor warranty.i advise patrons not to purchase from house and home, as their products dont carry a warranty.
