Last year we had a burst water pipe. Standard bank sent people to replace the carpets. They only replaced the underfelt. A few months later the carpet started pulling away from the runners and the underfelt has lumps and bumps. The carpet company came back to correct but still not 100%. Standard bank is insisting on sending the same company again. They pick the cheapest contractors it seems to the detriment of the customer.
In addition, we had a roof leak this Winter. Standard bank sent an assessor who climed up had a quick look and told us our waterproofing is not done properly, after I told him the leak is not by the waterproofing - he didn't even wet the roof or get into the ceiling to check. As a result Standard bank rejected the claim. On questioning this I was told to get my own contractor to give a report - passing the buck!
Very disappointed.
