Sanlam
Bad administration

Business & Finance

Dividends of my shares with Sanlam have until last year always been paid by cheque. They then informed me that due to they are now resorting to electronic payments and that I had to send them Certified copies of my ID, Proof of residence, etc which was duly done. Months went past and after inquiring about the non payment was informed that there was one digit in my ID wrongly submitted initially and that I had to obtain a verification from home affairs. This was done with great difficulty and again duly certified by the police and sent to them by registered mail. This verification was sent from Pretoria to Secunda. I then receive a letter informing me that they cannot comply with my request as they need the original certified copy confirming my correct ID No (already supplied). Also stating certification done by the police was incorrect. Am at my wits end. I have proved beyond doubt who I am and still they cannot rectify their records and pay me my measly dividend. What happens in the event of my death, they will simply not pay out my shares. This is unacceptable from a Company like Sanlam who is supposed to be there for the people. Please help.
