Car "written" off, sold, and my details given out

The insurance company wrote my car off for a bit of hail damage despite me not wanting this. The car was my livlihood. Despite being apparently too expensive to repair, the car was then fixed and sold. Then the new owners got my number - which could only be from Hollard. Now they are calling me with complaints about the car that I did not sell them. I'm not sure of the legality of forcefully writing off a car, despite it being worthwhile to fix, and of Hollard giving my details to a third-party. But this seems like the height of unprofessionalism. I feel that Hollard took advantage of the situation to make money - at my expense. I have switched to a new insurer because I could not have this happen to me twice.
