I have been a Mutual and Federal client for many years and I have always had fast and efficient service from them, I have never had reason to complain until now. I went up to their 3rd office to drop off my payment for my annual insurance premium. There were two ladies sitting at the reception and when I mentioned a payment I was directed to speak to the correct lady. She informed me that she cannot accept my payment I must pay direct to Standard Bank. I asked her then for the Banking Details, she said she did not have them. She politely gave me a leaflet with phone numbers on and sent me on my way. When I got home I opened the envelopment and this it was says... PAYMENT CAN BE FORWARDED TO YOUR NEAREST M & F OFFICE OR THEY GIVE YOU NEDBANK OR FIRST NATIONAL BANKDING DETAILS TO PAY DIRECTLY. Where did she get Standard Bank. In this case why would she not accept my payment and why did she not try to get the banking details for me, surely it would not have killed her to go the extra mile. I was disappointed to see that she did not care and would not put herself out.
