First National Bank
No responsability accepted for faulty Blackberry

Business & Finance

We ordered a Blackberry smartphone via the FNB website towards the middle of 2012. The device was delivered to my wife's office. Barely a few months later the "scroller" button on the phone started malfunctioning. I thought of having said button repaired/replaced at own cost whilst my wife used her old phone. Someone then advised us that the phone is surely still under warranty and that is when we first queried the matter with FNB. Our e-mail trail starts on 4 April 2013 and the matter was eventually escalated to Gladys. One would not believe the amount of correspondence that followed, including questions about where the phone was delivered to, how much was I paying, what model etc.
My last e-mail response to Gladys dates back to 29 April 2013. With the amount of time that has lapsed, clearly, FNB wishes this matter to go away. They do not accept any responsabilty for a faulty device that I am still paying for. Please, can anyone else help as FNB refuses. How does one go about having the matter adjudicated in the Small Claims Court?
