I reported the wrongdoing of a financial planner in September last year. Every effort was made by Standard Bank to fob me off, and so I reported the matter to the Fais Ombud. This is a complicated matter and there is plenty of correspondence which can be referred to, so for the moment I won't go into detail, (notwithstanding the gagging order placed on me).

I expressed my extreme dissatisfaction to Mr Jacko Maree on 18 December 2012 per email. Someone from customer relations responded with the words 'We assure you that as an organization we are committed to providing the best possible service and assure you that this will be addressed as a matter of urgency'.

Now, more than a month later, I have not heard from Standard Bank at all. Yesterday I again emailed Mr Maree. Again I have had no response. In fact, very few of my emails to various members of this organization in the course of the last 4 months have been acknowledged, and those that were, failed to address the questions posed. I think the hope is that if I am ignored long enough, I will get tired and give up. I won't.
