Report on bad workmanship
The Hot water cylinder installation in the following attachment is an example of bad workmanship. The work was done by an accredited vendor that was dispatched from a well known household insurer namely DIALDIRECT. The HWC was installed approximately 2 years ago and for last week hasn't been working. An independent inspection was done and the following deviations were found;
Firstly, the HWC has stopped working and cannot even be inspected properly.
The grey inspection cover cannot be removed because the cold water inlet pipe is practically installed against the cover, though there appears to be enough space for a better installation.
The earth wiring is loose. (Very dangerous situation), definitely an infringement of SANS 10142 standards.
When the installation was done the cupboard door was also slightly damaged.

I recommend that DIALDIRECT replace the HWC at their own cost by qualified personnel only.
A picture was taken as proof of the workmanship by vendors (figure 1), unable to included it.
Once contacted, will forward mail with attachment.
