I am a very unhappy ex client of Standard bank. Ever since banking with STD Bank, i have had to to visit their Johannesburg Branch, where i originally opened my account. My initial problem, was a simple matter of stopping Debit orders i didn't want to go off my account. For more than 8 months, i had to reverse those debit orders, always being charged a reversal fee. Around April i requested for my account to be closed. when i did the request, my account was not overdrawn. Due to Std Bank Jhb incompetence, today i have an over drawn cheque account, which they want me to pay for. I asked Patric, who was introduced to me as the manager to investigate the matter & revert back, this was on the 01/07, we now going for the 10th and no response from Patric. I was referred to him, because when i went into the branch around June, to request for the closer for the second time & was promised by a consultant that she would close the account after speaking to her team leader. The consultant, like the 1st inquiries clerk, didn't close the account. I went back on the 01/07 only to be told she is on leave. Now tell me, how does Std Bank expect me to pay R 2000 for their incompetence?
