Hail Damage

Last year I was caught in that major Hail Storm (Nature) which is not of my own doing. I have a Hyundai Atos still has 72000K on the clock. I phoned Outsurance to claim on this Hail damage, they said to me to go to get my car assesed which I did, after some time they phoned me back and said they are writing my vehicle off for an amount of R26000.00 damage they wanted to write my car off?? I refused as i can not afford another car then heard from a lot of people that there vehicles where repaired and could not believe that my car for such a small amount was not. I am a single parent and cannot afford a new vehicle to start paying again, this extra expense which is uncessasary. They actually leave you no choice to just accept what they say, I now know different as spoken to a lot of other people. I feel that paying a fee per month to be covered and be refused on fixing my car, when I was covered by Auto & General I never had a problem at all. 94.7 advertises Outsurance all the time that is why I phoned to insure through them, and am still paying every month with a damaged vehicle, extremely upset.
