NON PAYMENT OFCLAIM FOR HAIL STORM DAMAGE

On 1 and 2nd of June we had a major hail storm in Cape Town:

I sent in a claim because the my car was damaged by hailstones. Every top surface of the vehicle has been stripped, WITH stone marks all over the roof side and the bonnet on which you can see the paint has been chipped by the stones some to the bare metal. I got a quote and put in a claim and the assessor came out. I showed him all the stone marks all over the vehicle. I said my car did not look like this before the storm and now it is severely damaged by hailstones. The amount of damage is approx R10 000.00.

The claims department stated that they will not pay due to wear and tear. (10) General exclusions.
Nowhere in my original policy wording does this appear anywhere!!!

THIS WAS A HAIL STORM THAT MADE MY CAR LOOK LIKE IT HAS BEEN SANDBLASTED.

I am putting forward this case to the ombudsman with all documentation as I am covered for hail damage.
