I recently got retrenched soI submitted and insurance claim at the Eastgate branch on 12 June 2013 and was assisted by a lady called Ayeesha. She told me that I would get an sms 48 hrs from the insurance company but that did not happen. Instead I received a call from African Bank asking me why I did not pay my account for the month of June of which I replied and told them of the insurance claim that I logged on the 13th of June. The lady that I spoke to told me that they did not receive any insurance claim from me, so I promised to fax it to them the following day. On that same day which was the 2nd of July my account was debited by African Bank and again on the 3rd of July. I went back to the Eastgate branch and spoke to Ayeesha and explained what had happened. She called the customer services and the person that she spoke to told her that the incident was closed because there was not note attached on the insurance claim so they closed the incident without attending to the matter. They told her that she needs to resubmit and log another incident for a refund. Again I was told that it would take 48 hrs. So she was supposed to get back to me on the 9th and she still hasn't come
