I have an account at African Bank which I was paying for on time until I was retrenched in July 2013. I went to African Bank and submitted all the documentation which included contact details of all relevant parties to claim
payment from the insurance company as a portion of the monthly payment was allocated to insurance cover in the event of retrenchment. After 1 month I received a call from African Bank asking when I will be making payment. It turns out that no one submitted my claim form in the beginning no one at African Bank even attempted to contact any parties of which I provided contact details for. Now I get a call every day from African Bank harassing me I was told very rudely that the insurance company refuse to pay the claim I submitted without any reason given. I would just like to know if this is the sort of treatment that we can expect from African Bank. I have had previous dealings with African Bank and all the accounts was settles well ahead of time. I would expect better treatment as my retrenchment was of no fault of mine. Maybe I was just expecting to be treated like a human being and not trash... Well I guess I was wrong...
