I have been with Outsurance my entire adult life, I have never had a policy anywhere else.
The company I was working for closed overnight on the 13th of December two years ago, the snowball effect of that was that I was 2 months without work, and as a result I couldn't afford my policy, so it was canceled. Now, 14 months later, I am finally in a position to re-instate my policy, so I contacted Outsurance and went through the process of getting cover for my one vehicle. I felt that the rate was too high when I compared it to my old policy, so I called back almost immediately and spoke to John, a senior consultant I was told. John explained that because I was now being viewed as a 'new' customer I could not have the same rate that I enjoyed before, but he said he would talk to his superiors and get back to me. I didn't hear from him that day, I only received an email the following day informing me that I had been granted a R100.00 discount on my policy of R 1800.00.
I called immediately to cancel, but of course they had already deducted the premium, with admin fees.
Outsurance, you have shown your true colours. Shame on you.
