I have been a client of Liberty since 2007. I had a Life policy which ran without any default. I changed bank details earlier this year and notified the broker and Liberty of this change way in advance to ensure my debit orders go off without hassle, however both the broker and Liberty failed to act timeously resulting in them debiting the wrong account. I contacted both parties at this time to find out what went wrong and at this point I discover it was not changed. I then also discovered the broker was no longer my broker and I, the end client was not informed. Further to this they have attempted to debit the wrong account several times resulting in Returned Debit orders as well as the accumulation of unpaid debit orders which by then could not afford as 3 debits were required. Well it seems that Liberty wants to pass the buck onto the broker and avoid assisting me as a client, irrespective of the fact that I have been a no default, loyal client since inception. I absolutely think that this is the poorest level of customer service and they now want to offer me a new policy subject to their terms and conditions as they lapsed my policy.
