First National Bank
Policy lapsing

Business & Finance

I called FNB on the 16th of April to change my banking details to Capitec for my two funeral policies that I have with them. I spoke to a guy who told me that the details were changed and that they will do a double debit at the end of April, come month end they only debited one and it was more than R100, I thought that was for both policies and that's why I did not call them immediately. I then got an sms stating that my policy has been lapsed in June on the 7th, I then called FNB to ask why it has lapsed and was told that I have not made payments for 3 months. That's when I them that in April I changed my banking details. I was told that there was no money in my account but I sent them bank statements to show I had money in my account and was told that they will call me back but nothing happened. I spoke to a guy called Katlego on the 13th June who said I must resend the statement I did so and no feedback, on the 20th June I spoke to Makobe who also promised to call but nothing I then called again and spoke to Debbie on the 27th and Debbie told me that the guy who changed the banking to call me back because he made a mistake and he had to fix it. I want FNB to fix my problem.
