I sent an indemnity form to make provisions for my bank account whilst I am working overseas, which had been the advice I was given by Lezile. I couriered it at cost of almost R882 as there's not centralized postal service where I am, plus the costs of calling South Africa, only later to be told that they cannot do anything for me and I must wait till I come back to access my money (which is 2 years from now!). What's ridiculous is that why did I had to go through the trouble of sending and calling if they could have just said so in the first place? Also, they cant even set up internet banking for me whilst Capitec can go as far as doing Skype calls to verify their clients to assist when they are overseas. I expected much better from a renowned bank like Nedbank. Worst is I am aware of the declining value of the rand, by the time I come back my money will be worth nothing. I am very unhappy with the service, do not misinform clients just be succint and precise from that start, such shenanigans cost me unnecessary time and money!
