I have a had a Virgin Money credit card for a couple of years now & have used it successfully in the past. However, a couple of weeks ago I wished to use some of the credit available & logged on to my account to find that my beneficiacry no longer exists. I called the customer center who instructed me to email copies of specific documents to them, which I did the next day. When I was told that I could proceed with the transaction, I logged in to find that the beneficiary had been re-loaded but when I tried to process the payment, I was still unable to. Again I emailed the Internet Support team & was told that the account was dormant but now it SHOULD work (SHOULD is not much assurance!!!). Of course when I tried to transact again, it does NOT work! I am embarrassed that, like a lot of other customers, it took me a couple of weeks to realise that Virgin Money's customer service is poor, unacceptable, & unprofessional. Wish I'd known this sooner as I would never have opened an account with them in the first place. I have now requested that they close the account with immediate effect. I shudder to think how long that may take!
