I have an credit card account with virgin money, on the 8th of October i wanted to used the card but the service was declined, on enquiry i was told to to contact by service supplier, when i contact Virgin money i was told that my card was stopped and it will only be activated when i go to the nearest bank with my personal document. the documents that the requesting i have emailed to them when i opened the account, i give the same documents to the courier driver when delivering my card, i also gave the same documents when i activated my card in the Absa branch. on saying that the lady i spoke to on the phone she said i must give those documents every year, but i said why did you not remind me about this, i was told that and sms was sent to my phone which i did not receive, i got my statement through the email and i thought i will also get this type of information that way. and to close or suspend my card without notifying me i find it disturbing, for instance i only realised that the card has been blocked after filling my tank with petrol, since i paid all my money into my credit card, the one of the option was to drain the petrol or get the money somewhere. so embarrassed i was.
