Incompetence and idiocy

Last year i applied for a credit cart on Kalahari. I was unsure as to whether i was approved or not so i sent the enquiry through and they never got back to me. The order was cancelled on Kalahari due to non payment so i concluded that i definitely wasn't approved. When surprise surprise the debits for the cart go off my account. After nearly 4 months the guy finally solves it and my money is refunded. And i think that is the last of it. Well not at all. i go into the bank and they say i should run a credit check as there is something there. so i request the report and lo and behold the cart is sitting on my credit report as overdue and a default!!! This debt was cancelled (atleast that is what i was told) the direct debits stopped. So please explain to me how i can still have this in my name if it was supposed to be sorted out. I never received any goods and due to incompetence from credit cart side i didn't have a debt i owed. But now they hand me over and make me look bad!! I am so peeved off i could scream.
