Standard Bank
REFUSAL TO REFUND DIFFERENCE OF THE MONEY PAID

Business & Finance

On or about 27 September 2012, Standard Bank repossessed the motor vehicle.
On or about 28 September 2012 when I contacted Standard Bank I was told that the sum of R111 795.56 was required to release the vehicle. On 08 October 2012 I spoke to Linda Van Cittert who told me that the sum of R130 000.00 was required to cover the legal costs, sheriff's costs, towing costs and storage.
I made payment of R130 000.00 in three payments of R90 000.00, R26 000.00 and R14 000.00.
When I subsequently perused the vehicle bank statement I discovered the amount that was owed as at 17 September 2012 was R111 797.56 only
I discovered further unexplained debits with the following codes:-
C00926-410.40,
C00894-65.00,
C120092-R2 622.00,
C120444-R817.38,
C120836-R74.93,
C120836-R74.93,
C120836-R74.99
C121169-R14 212.67.

I don't think the above mentioned debit entries against my account are justified, in the circumstances I believe that I am entitled to the refund of the difference between R111 797.56 and the R130 000.00.
