Refuse to take restriction off my credit card

Last year July I went on maternity leave it was unpaid, so i had to apply for benefits, which i only received in November, I went back to work in January and in this life we living in I have tried to pay my credit card which i did since I'm back at work, ive always called and explained my situation and we made arrangements, in April this year i have paid up to date instalment and the arrears that i have paid off (with my last) included and asked them if i can remove the restriction as someone in the branch in Mitchell's plain told me that i can just go to a consultant and they can remove it for me, I went to different branches in town gave them proof of address and copy of ID its been sent off and i was told i will recieve an sms to say when its lifted, after waiting5 days after i was told 2-3 days i decided to go into the bank, they said they need debits for months before they remove it, im upset because i am paying! I want this resolved! callcentre is unhelpful!
