Debit order vs Manual Payment

This Company accounts department phoned me regarding payment of loan:
I confirmed a manual payment to be made the same day or the next day as soon as the funds where available
I also asked the debit order to be cancelled as a manual payment better suits me
At 01:10 am the funds where available I made a manual payment from FNB with the express option selected meaning the bank speed proses this payment. At 11:00 am the debit order went through collecting the same amount after confirming that a manual payment to be made this is a big problem because now I have no funds available anymore due of some person not informing me to not do a manual payment as the debit order was in proses from the 24th of June, today is the 26th of June. I will not recommend this service to anyone anymore as this is the second time I have been having problems with this service provider and I am glad to say this will be the last as well Now I will be waiting for my own money up and till I hope next week Thursday...!!!
I hope someone can assist as I now will have never ending problems because of this small but irritating miscommunication.
