I have been banking with Std Bank for 10 years, and personally, I don't believe they Value their customers as they advertise, all they want is to gain new customers, but donot care for the loyal customers they already have. All i want to do is open a new account for my infant daughter, and you'd think the requirements of ID (mine and hers) and proof of address will be sufficient, because that's common knowledge, nowhere in the bank does it state you need to have specific documents, after running to the bank 3 times, everytime thinking i have the correct documents, I get turned down again, all because they won't accept a "Copy" of Proof of Address.
All new customers should be aware, that when you reach 10 years, loyalty means nothing, and you're still treated the same as a new client.
This is unacceptable, they are willing to lose a new account now, because the Bank's "Policies" donot permit the consultants to accept the documents i had, and they clearly donot care about inconveniencing their clients or accommodating them in the least.
