Dragging out of claim procedure

I had a break in at my house on 20th April, I followed due process by reporting and making a statement with the police. On monday the 22nd April I filed a claim with my broker Walmer Insurance brokers who then forwarded it to Mutual and Federal on the same day. Ever since then I have been given the run around regarding my claim and have been subjected to multiple questioning at my house by firstly the assessor and subsequently by the investigator who was assigned to my case. Every week when I enquire about when my claim will be finalised I am told that it will be complete after management has made their decision, this has been the story I have been given since mid May. I do not believe that it is fair that I have to wait for close to two months for a single claim to be dealt with, especially when I have gone out of my way to provide all necessary information and documentation relating to the matter. On monday the 10th I was told I would have the final decision today the 14th of June, but when I called was told that I'll only get a response sometime next week, which is pathetic customer service and shows little regard for the inconvenience caused by my loss.
