Not wanting to process my claim due to burglary

On the 24/05/2013 there was a break in my house and I was alerted by my security company ADT. There thugs were able to go away with my 46 inches LCD Bravia Sony TV, my laptop and remote controls for the pvr decoder and TV. Mutual & Federal say I was underensured and as a result they will be on prorata basis a figure around R4500 for compensation. They are passinfg the buck to me hiding against under insuredness. In 2009 I made the claim which the consultant send me a form to update my items which I did amounting to R174 950, he indicated that I should fax the updated inventory list to the fax number : 0860 111 034 which I did. Now Mutual & Federal say don't have a record of it, now I am punished because their official did not update my policy and also that their official gave me his personal fax number and I wouldn't dictated by any chance. It is not my problem that Mutual and Federal have no standard operating procedure where their officials use their own numbers for mutual & federal business transactions, I am not responsible for supervising mutual & federal employees to do their job. I have proof of the document I faxed. What I need is my claim to be processed.
