FNB don't keep to their word

I took a temp loan with FNB, which I failed to repay on time due to financial constraints. I was then handed over to their legal department who made a payment arrangement with me and who gave me their word on a recorded line that I would only be paying R1000 per month untill everything was settled, but next thing you know FNB deducted R6400 from my account, leaving me without a cent for the remainder of the month, not to mention food in my cupboards. And the legal people still have the nerve to say I owe FNB R221 and them an odd R2000.
Can someone please explain to me why an arrangement was made if FNB weren't planning to honour it & were just going to empty my entire account either way?
