ABSA ignores people and works off phonescripts

I have a specific need for financing this year. I have requested to speak to someone in ABSA that is capable of making decisions. I have now been following up on a weekly basis for three months to no avail.

I am a platinum card holder. The private banker, branch manager and various other inexperienced people have been extremely unhelpful. The whole process has been frustrating.

I spoke to someone on the action-line last week. They assured me that they will call me as soon as possible and will escalate the matter. I am still waiting. I have not even received a email, phone call, SMS or any other possible form of communication.

It would seem as though not a single person in ABSA is actually sufficiently capable of understanding a problem, returning a call after finding out a solution or having a general broad general knowledge. Yet they have all the systems to check something and are even then incapable of coming back to me.

I would like to speak to someone that can sort my problem out and that has the competence to make a simple decision. I would also like assistance in closing my account as soon as possible.
