A few months ago ABSA called me to say my Priority Pass card was being used illegally. I immediately cancelled the card & even 4 months later charges were still appearing on my statement which were definitely not mine. I contacted ABSA & they would not even acknowledge this in email correspondence or by telephone.

As I am abroad, ABSA told me a replacement card would be sent to me in Egypt. 4 weeks later I had still not received it & have since moved on to Thailand having had to suffer 10 hour stopovers without lounge access. It has been nearly three weeks since anyone from ABSA replied to my weekly emails asking for assistance.

Keep in mind platinum members are supposed to get premium service & even have their own personal banker available at all times, someone I have never been able to establish even exists.

As a client who is being charged monthly fees for a premium service I never receive I think its fair to demand a full refund of all my 'platinum fees' deducted for the duration of this problem for services not delivered.

Coincidentally this is the second time in two years with ABSA I've been the victim of card, something which has never happened with my other bank
