DON'T BELIEVE THE ADVERT - ITS RUBBISH

About 20 or more years ago I took out a standard funeral policy for my Mom. It was about R69 per month with a payout value of R5000.00. A few years later I phoned and asked them that I needed the payout amount to be increased to R10, 000.00. My premium was increased to R82.50.

My Mom passed away on 15 May 2013 and we phoned them on 16 May 2013 to start the claims procedure. We sent all the doc's to them. I am very disgusted at them. My money only came through on 06 June 2013 and it was only R5000.00. I phoned them about it and the lady said she does not know why I was paid out R5000, the system has not been updated. I emailed them yesterday to ask why it has not been updated but to date I have not received an answer. Would I increase my premium to receive the same amount as a payout, I don't think so. I would just like to warn other people about what is said on the Adverts and what the actual thing is. Desmond and Lillian are wasting their breathes advertising and painting this rosy picture of how good Clientele treats their clients. It is a load of rubbish, all. I will not advice any of my family or friends to take out a policy with them.
