I have been a client of this company for years. After my husband passed away, I decided to change my premium from monthly to annual payment. In March I contacted them to make the change. I was told that my premium on the 1st of June would be R1662-51 something cents and my son also phoned them and confirmed the amount. We payed the pro-rata amount for April and May.

On the 1st of June my account was debited with R3410-86, in words a 100% increase. I phoned them on Monday to ask why this amount was taken. I was told that they had system problems as they were changing to a new system and that within 48 hrs the amount would be reversed.

Today, Wednesday they phone me to tell me that their manager said that because of claims the premium went up by that amount. How on earth can they now, after me changing and agreeing to R1662-51suddenly increase it. I also phoned them on Thursday last week and asked for the exact amount my account would be debited just to do a budget and was told again that R1662-51 would be deducted on the 1st of June.

How convenient, now that I have paid the increased amount I cannot change to another company.
Momentum must sort this out, IT IS UNACCEPTABLE.
