I am disgusted with Standard Banks Service. In the beginning of April around the 10th April my husband Christopher Mervyn Hannie settled his revoling credit account of R30000 at standard bank N1 city with stevie that promised us that he will have it closed on that day. On the 29th of may we wanted to apply for vehicle finance and all the banks declined us due to high amounts of revoling credit, we did a credit report on the 30 may and saw that standard bank revoling loans has not been updated nor closed as promised by stevie from N1 city in april. My husband then went to tygervalley branch on the 1st of june and the told us that the loan has never been closed nor updated by stevie and they had to close it for us and once again promised that it would be updated on the bureau but also said that since it is standard banks fault that they would gladly help with the vehicle finance as it was their fault thats we are being declined. We then did the pre-approval over the fone with simphiwe which then said we qualify and can shop around for a vehicle in the price range of R1240000, we then went to hyundai and we were declined again by standard bank when they the reason we cant qualify.
