ABSA insurance a rip off!!!

I seldom complain, but when an honest person gets taken for a ride, I have a huge problem and want to make the it known to the world!!! I have had two small claims in the twenty or more so years with ABSA Insurance, paying my premiums diligently every year. I am now in the process of cancelling my insurance because of the no care attitude. Both claims were for my gate motor apparently damaged by a lightning (May and July of all months???). For this reason ABSA raised my excess from R1000 to R3000 because I am a high risk customer (2 small claims huh???). I disputed the report during the last claim (July) as I am in the electronics industry myself. The quote for this repair is R1800 of which I am to pay R3000 to repair (hello???..a new motor costs less! Why have insurance?
ABSA you are corrupt to the core and from your loyal, honest customers. Why was my excess increased without my knowledge, after I had disputed lightning as a cause for the last claim? How can I be a high risk customer after two small claims years apart? 2006 and 2011
If you are with ABSA insurance you need to reconsider your options. I will be placing this on facebook and other mediums.
