I was contacted iro suspicious transactions on my current account by risk at SBSA. There had been two transactions overseas whilst I have been local. I was provided with a ref: 5933389, and my cards were stopped and reordered.

This is where the service ended. I have heard nought from Risk. I have spent in excess of 3 hours on 011 2274905, the investigation number which is never answered. I have also called through multiple times to 011 6416114, to request details of the manager of the dept. I am continuosly being placed on hold, and have to keep calling back as the calls are never answered.

I am a pensioner who has banked with SBSA for more than 40 years. I am now left R4000 out of pocket with out even the decency of a call to alert me as to progress of my claim or when I might have my funds refunded.

I require that my funds are refunded post haste, and that Standard bank refund the call charges I have incurred chasing after their inept department. Should I not receive positive feedback in this respect, I will be refering the matter to Sim Tshabalala and Ben Kruger.
