Since LAST YEAR August I have been trying to get standard bank to put me on an appropriate plan for the account I have with them! I went into the Melville branch twice while 8months pregnant. Due to the long wait (over 30mins) and lack of air conditioning, I had to leave the bank on both occassions for fear of passing out! On my second visit I left my number with a lady at the help desk so that one of the sales consultants could give me a call. To this day I have not received that call! Then this year when my card expires, no one let's me know that my new card is ready for collection and even worse when I get to my branch at killarney I find out that the card is in braamfontein! I had a new born baby in my arms and no one could help me get access to MY money until eventually I had to get my sister to phone the branch manager so that I could be helped! The final straw is that they now decide to charge me a monthly 'service fee' without any notification they have been happilly debiting my account for the past few months! I am furious! I even told the lady at the killarney branch that I want to switch my bank and she smiled as if she could care less and that's because they don't!
