ABSA CLAIMS INSURANCE is a public RIP OFF!!
Its been 2 weeks now and everytime I call in they give me a new claim number and I am told to contact the person in charge Mpumi 011 5018054 but every time I call in to tell her the 6 Plumbers, they send me to Pay R500 excess all want to place a clamp on the leaking pipe which costs R85, everytime I m calling to tell them after paying House Hold Insurance for 17 years my pipes are leaking for the first time they should replace the burst pipe not just place a clamp of R85 on it, but all the time Im told by Mpumi department they My insurance is only covered to place a clamp on and I must get someone to dig up the hole as the pipe must be visible and I told them if I place a clamp on the one hole the pressure will burts the pipe else where and I will have to call them and pay another excess to place another clamp on this one pipe, The logical thing to do would be to replace the burst pipe but none of the 6 plumbers that came works in the interest of the public but with the interest of the Scamming ABSA Insurance, I want my pipes fixed not just the water stopped from leaking, they do that so we can pay them EXCESS every 2 months to fix it.
