I had a burst water pipe under my paving on Thursday evening and logged a call but unfortunately the 24hr service department was unable to register a claim or send someone to my place. on Friday morning I registered a claim at 8am and clarified that the job will require digging up my paving and repairing the paving. The call centre agent assured me that the plumbers who will be doing the repairing of the pipe will be responsible for this. I called the plumbing company (Big 6) also that morning to confirm the work to be done and the person (Ivey) confirmed that if the paving needs to be put back they will do it. After 3pm the plumbers finally arrived to and try and fix the burst pipe. At about 6pm, the pipe was repaired and my driveway dug up and left open. I called Absa Insurance call centre, the Absa Head Office and Bid 6 and both Absa and Big 6 pointed to the other as responsible for the repair of the paving. I was left with a dug-up driveway to repair by myself at my cost else i would not be able to acess my property.
Absa should be clear with the clients that they are willing to deny responsibility whenever possible at the expense of the client
