Why is it so difficult to open a simple account

I tried to open an account at FNB and was sent back home 3 times to collected different documents, none being good enough. My marriage certificate was certified and still was not accepted. They wanted a computer printed one. My husband has been an account holder FNB for more than 10 years and this is the nonsense that they give us. Needless to say now I don't have a bank account and am carrying large amounts of cash around with me, this is unacceptable. I only want to open an account, nothing else.
