SLES in their coloured treatment products

Please explain to me the addition of Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES) in your products? I bought the Biokenetics Moisturiser Shampoo from Salon X. Asking for a shampoo that is okay for coloured hair. After I bought it - I then realized that the Ingredients contain SLES. The salon asked the Rep - where he responded it is for foam. Okay, Rep - you have a sales degree and are paid to sell the product. But chemically speaking - it is untrue. It is not just for Foam.

SLES - Is chemically speaking a Salt and a Sulphate - Ask any chemist and is for that reason a big NO for coloured/treated/brazilian hair.

SLES is generally bad for colored hair as it acts as a harsh cleanser that strips natural oils, opens the hair cuticle, and causes color molecules to wash out rapidly, leading to fading and dullness. It is recommended to use sulfate-free alternatives to maintain vibrancy, shine, and moisture. It is actually a catch-22. The more your use the shampoo the more you need to go to a salon to colour your hair - as if life itself don't give enough grey hair already - Great for bussiness - not great for the client.
