Promise after promise, still no delivery

I ordered an item off Groupon's Christmas page on the 4th December 2012.

I was sent the email correspondence notifying me that I would receive my purchase by the 20th Dec in time for Christmas.

It is no the 8th of Feb 2013 and after having called them 5 times and emailed them 4 times since then, I have received NOTHING but late responses, friendly call center responses and empty promises.

The most recent promise was one made that I would have my order by no later than Wednesday the 6th of Feb 2013.

I understand that their courier went into liquidation in December, but for a company willing to supply the country with online shopping, they should really have better controls and safeguards in place to cope with such crisis situations.
