Christmas gift did not arrive before Christmas!

On 18 Nov 2012 I ordered a laptop on a Christmas promotion for my wife which was noted to take up to 4 weeks to deliver. Plenty of time before Christmas, even at a worst case.
On 22 Nov I emailed Groupon to make sure delivery takes place before 20 December when I was going on leave. I quote the response to my email "Any orders purchased on the Groupon christmas page (purchased on and before 5 December) will be delivered by 20 December." or "Please allow up to four weeks for delivery from redemption"
On 19 Dec I informed the time until which I will be available at the delivery address and then as one would expect, on 22 Dec I informed Groupon that I was still without a present and demanded to be contacted by a customer service rep to explain why this has happened and why I was left in such an embarrassing situation.
Groupon responded on 27 Dec and blamed delivery company liquidation on the non delivery and said delivery would take place in the 2nd week of Jan.
When responding to say that this was unacceptable the story changed to issues with stock. Whatever the case may be, I still didn't get a call from anyone and for the last month they keep closing my complaint on the support desk
