I purchased a dinner through Groupon. When I phoned (numerous times) to book with the restaurant I could not reach it. I then drove to the address of the restaurant provided on the Groupon voucher. When I got to the address there was no restaurant. I then emailed the "restaurant". They responded and stated that the restaurant had closed down. They also said that they informed Groupon and that I should contact them for a refund. I emailed Groupon on 2 January 2013 requesting a refund. I followed up on 7 January 2013 because no response had been received. On 10 January 2013 I receive an email form Groupon asking how their service was in respect of my query (even though I haven't received as much as a phone call or email from them as of yet). I tried phoning Groupon but every time I am number 56 or 62 (or some other ridiculous number) in the queue. What a joke. I hope they enjoy the money I gave them for no reason. This was my first purchase through Groupon and obviously my last.
