Refusal to refund

I bought vouchers for IPL hair removal treatment at a spa through Groupon. The fine print said: "Only applicable for dark hair." I do have dark hair, I'm a brunette, so it was no problem. But when I arrived at the place, they told me the IPL won't work on me, as my hair is brown and not black. They told me to simply get a refund from Groupon. Groupon however now refuses to refund me, because they say it was a condition in the fine print. This is nonsense. Nowhere in the fine print did it say that the treatment only works on black hair. In fact, the woman used in the advertisement for the IPL deal is BLONDE! I paid R5000. The spa is happy that I get refunded, but Groupon refuses.
