On 03 October 2013 I purchased a voucher on Groupon for a weekend away. The very same day I called the lodge to make a booking but they had no availability for any of the dates that I was able to go. On 04th October I sent an email to Groupon requesting a refund as obviously the voucher is of no use to me. I was told I would be refunded in 'groupon points'

It is now 6 weeks later... Still no refund! None of my emails have been replied to, none of my phone calls have been returned. So yesterday I finally get a response, something along the lines of "please read the fine print, you have to apply for a refund within 7 days of the purchase date and because you are only REQUESTING IT TODAY, unfortunately we are unable to process a refund for you. Seriously?!? Is this a joke? Did they magically lose all of my 150 requests?

The fact is that they don't want to refund me and so they have been avoiding me for 6 weeks and now all of a sudden I am in the wrong because according to their 'fine print' I needed to request the refund within 7 days of purchase. Am I loosing the plot or is the period between 03 October - 04 October within 7 days?
