R3398 spend to get nothing in return!

I purchased two vouchers in November 2011 on a hot air balloon trip. I could never redeem the vouchers as it was postponed 3 times due to the weather. The 4th time it was postponed as I fell pregnant and the company assured me that once I gave birth, that I can use my voucher. The company has now closed down and the owner said I should get my refund back from Groupon. I've been sending email after email, and I just don't get any feedback from Groupon. At first I was advised that if I have proof that I never redeemed the voucher that a full refund will be made to me via Groupon credits. I've send the proof and now my emails are just been ignored. When I phoned today, I spoke to Janie Lourens who said that the vouchers were bought in 2011 and that it was redeemed and that I won't be able to get the refund as it's been over a year. I've explained my position to her and she once again requested an email. But my emails are ignored. I've purchased a couple of items on groupon before, I am hesitant to buy anything else in future and will make sure I tell everyone not to buy on Groupon. I've spend over R3000 on these vouchers and I got NOTHING in return. NOT HAPPY WITH GROUPON!
