Wrong information was given and lost my money

I bought Color Festival Tickets from Groupon at the end of July 2013.

Unforseen circumstances came up and I could not go to the event anymore. I phoned Groupon and asked if it would be possible to get a refund. I spoke to Yusuf Sadan who said that he would speak to senior personal and provide me with feedback.

Yusuf was very quick to provide me with feedback:

2 Aug:
"Good Day
I would just like to confirm that your refund has been approved.
Kind Regards
Yusuf"

On the 12th of August I still haven't received my feedback and followed up with Yusuf on my refund on which his reply was:

"Good Day
I would just like to clear up the mistake, the refund has been denied due to the fact that we do not refund event tickets.
I have escalated it to our refund team, but it was denied.
Kind Regards
Yusuf"

This is completely unacceptable! Refund was approved and confirmation was given by Groupon. The event that I paid for was on the 9th of August 2013.

12th of August 2013 they reply and say they made a mistake. Indeed you did and you need to rectify it by providing me with my refund as promised by you.

You can't make your mistake my problem. Stick to your word and rectify your mistake!
